Eloura Residential Services provides accommodation support in the Blue Mountains for people with a disability. The service is developing a new and exciting program under the Young Person in Residential Aged Care program. This new project offers opportunities to become involved in enhancing the lives of younger people living in aged care facilities, through establishing a new group home in the community.
We are currently seeking applications for the following positions:
House Coordinator
The person we are seeking will need to be motivated, preferably with a nursing background and suitably experienced in working with adults with an Acquired Brain Injury within a group home setting. Previous experience in leading a team of staff members will be highly regarded. Required hours of work include day, evening and overnight shifts.
Essential:
Experience in working with adults with an Acquired Brain Injury and/or a mental health background.
Experience in the development and delivery of programs for people with high support needs/challenging behaviours.
Previous staff management and leadership
Understanding of the Disability Service Standards
Current unrestricted NSW driving licence.
Desirable: Training in Acquired Brain Injury and/or Mental Health, relevant nursing qualifications.
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. (S.A.C.S. Grade 4)
Residential Care Workers
Successful applicants will be required to support residents in their daily activities, participate in the community and support residents to engage in full and meaningful lives. Applicants are required to have previous experience of working in group home settings and have a full working knowledge of the Disability Service Standards. There are various shifts available including day, evening and overnight shifts.
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. (S.A.C.S. Grade 2)
