Donald Luscombe AFSM FCA
President
Donald Luscombe is a practising Chartered Accountant with over 40 years' experience and operates a private practice from Springwood in the lower Blue Mountains. With a passion for equality and justice for people with a disability, Donald has shown tremendous commitment to BMDS, serving as a Board Member since 1992, including Presidential appointments from 1993-1996 and 2008-2010. In addition to his voluntary position with BMDS, Donald maintains his role as Director of the Rural Fire Fighters Foundation (in which he has held senior membership positions for over 33 years) and is a Founder and Director of the Coffee for Kids Foundation.
Alan McPherson
Vice President
Alan has served on the Board of BMDS since 1991, including as Vice President for the past 13 years. Alan takes a keen interest in the issues faced by people with a disability, with his eldest son being a supported employee of BMDS for over 25 years. Alan brings to the position not only his personal experience as a parent of someone living with a disability but expertise in promotions, publicity and finance, having served as Director of Glenbrook Bowling and Recreation Club for 14 years.
Matthew Bryant
With over 25 years' experience in the information technology field, Matthew has developed innovative business solutions for a wide range of local and international clients. He has developed innovative business solutions for international clients, including the design of large-scale manufacturing systems. As a Board member of local arts, commerce and sporting groups, Matthew is active in both the Blue Mountains community and business sectors. Matthew and his wife and business partner Lola have four sons.
Graham Ellicott
Graham Ellicott, now retired, holds a background in the building industry, having been self employed for 40 years. Graham has held the positions of President, Vice President and Events Director on the BMDS Board over approximately 20 years. Graham has two children, a son who has been a client at BMDS for 20 years and a daughter who is a Coordinator of a childcare centre. Graham also has two grand daughters.
David Manzi
David is a Civil Engineer with more than 40 years experience in the water and sewerage industry with Sydney Water and in the Philippines and Singapore. David has been active in a large number of sporting clubs and associations, including as past president with Springwood Rotary Club and Zone Director of the Salvation Army's Red Shield Appeal. David has served on the BMDS Board for the past 4 years.
Noelene Nott
Noelene is a Director of Donn Nott Real Estate and an active member of the community.With a background in international aid (including the Malaysian Red Cross), Noelene joined BMDS on her return to Australia, impacted by the challenges faced by her cousin who lives with a disability.
Alex Steele
Alex has been a member of the BMDS Board for 17 years, including 11 years as President and is currently Chair of the Audit Committee. Recognised for outstanding community works, Alex has been awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship and Honorary Membership from the Rotary Club of Springwood.
